A couple of ex Milwaukee Road veterans not normally found in Upper Michigan lead train 12 west with 24 cars. Quite a few Milwaukee SD40-2's worked the area with a few GP40's mixed in. The Milw. GP38-2's and GP20(GP9) rebuilds were very uncommon on these lines. This train had just past through a severe thunderstorm that had brought a few trees and limbs onto the right of way(note the leafs on the plow). The thundershower has moved east and the sun has broken through in time to really light 4505,958 and 401 as they head up hill away from Trout Lake.
For the train and storm chaser. Trains with thunderstorms, dark clouds, rain, lightning, hurricanes - tropical storms, funnel clouds, storm light, rainbows, and snow storms.
