Remarks & Notes
There are no regularly scheduled passenger trains south of Anchorage on the ARR during the winter months. However the occasional charter does offer a chance to reprise some summer scenes in vastly different environment. The little five car train is curling along the shore of Turnagain Arm with it's massive chunks of tidal snow, ice, and mud. In the foreground are the steel trusses of the railroad bridge over Bird Creek, a popular salmon stream in the warmer months.
