Remarks & Notes
Sometimes the IEI coal trains would come off the BNSF with all the motors facing east. When this happens usually the empties would run to Manchester long-hood forward and turn a unit there. However this day decisions were made that treated photographers to a pretty unusual fix to the problem. The 3006 was added at Dubuque to assist to Waterloo. At Waterloo the BNSF 9666 was spun and put on the point for the trip to Sioux City and the WC left for other assignments. Here the train blast west less than 10 miles from Waterloo.
