This is a US-built S160 made by Alco on display at the Railway Museum in Budapest. It was bought with 509 others to cover loco shortages in Hungary in 1947. Only two now survive. Heavily "Hungarianised" you can still see the US shape. Many people don't realise that there were hundreds of US-built locos running around behind the Iron Curtain during the height of the "cold war".
