| X-ray of a Tie. A perfectly rotted tie shows what happens to the wood when a spike is driven into it. While clearing the CNJ Freehold Branch for the Henry Hudson Trail many relics were just thrown into the surrounding woods and can be found if you look hard enough. The right of way of the CNJ Freehold Branch is just out of the photo to the right. |
