Remarks & Notes
The excursion draws to a close as the passenger train pulls thru the sweeping rail under interstate 390 and into the Yard at American Rock Salt. The wheel flanges were sure squealing loudly as GW 1899 negotiated this tight curve. 1899 was the founding year of Genesse and Wyoming Railroad. This freshly painted GE bears the same number and was coupled with fresh EMD numbered 125 to honor the 125th Anniversary. A special passenger excursion from Brooks Ave Yard to Mt Morris carried railroad personnel to mark the occasion.
