Rochester, Minnesota is known for several things, mostly for being the home of the Mayo Clinic. But there is another thing, not as well known outside of the local area and that is the “Corn Tower”. This iconic midwestern sight was built by Libby Food in 1931 for their plant in Rochester and when the plant was closed and razed the water tower was given to the city by it's last owner Seneca Foods. Here is the Waseca Local rolling south, past the tower on the way to Tamarack Materials with a couple of loads of wallboard.
