"Peeking out into the Snow at St. George"

During the morning of February 13th, 2024, Staten Island Railway's "De-Icer Train" peaks out into the snow from under the the Empire Outlets on the "wye" at St. George Terminal in Staten Island, NY to begin its round trip on the main line. The De-Icer Train, comprising of a former New York City Transit R22 subway car (SIR RD344) equipped with glycol applicator shoes, sandwiched by two Brookville BL20G locomotives (BMEX 776 & BMEX 777), is dispatched by SIR during icy or snowy conditions to clear the third rail of ice.
