Remarks & Notes
If you've ever been zipping up or down I-95 near the Saint Augustine south exit, you've likely caught a glimpse of this spot out the window. This is technically the original FEC mainline that ran to Palakta, then turning back southeast towards Bunnell, which is why there is a big gap in mileposts in modern FEC as when the cutoff was built in Moultrie Junction, there was never any accommodation made for the difference it shaved off. All that remains intact in 2024 is this branch that runs for about a half mile more to the southwest, with a runaround, to serve a few industries. Mapwise, some businesses claim "Saint Augustine", others "Elkton", with I-95 being between the two.
