| "Geep at Geoppler"
On the rainy morning of September 23rd, 2023, Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT)/CTrail EMD GP40-3H 6698 leads Metro-North Railroad train 6810 past the former Geoppler Cider & Vinegar Mill in Redding, Connecticut on the Danbury Branch. Constructed in the early 1890's, the four-story mill was a multipurpose building that was utilized as a train station (Sanford Station) and also a post office in the early 1900s. Geoppler ceased all operations around 1940 and the mill was sold to private owners who rebuilt the structure into a residence.
