South Brooklyn Railway (SBK) R47 locomotive N1 (GE 45-ton, 1974) idles at 14th St Station on the IND 8th Avenue Line while waiting for overnight work to commence. N1 is one of two units (the other being N2) that are painted for the South Brooklyn Railway, a subsidiary of the Transit Authority that once operated freight service in South Brooklyn. |
