Remarks & Notes
Strange Train: NS J46 rushes eastbound over the Welch trestle as it heads towards Bluefield. Normally, the J symboled trains consist of two to three unit helper sets that shove heavy trains east to Bluefield then return light power west to Farm. However, not only was this train powered by four locomotives and wasn’t pushing an eastbound train towards Bluefield, it had about 60 empty coal cars in tow. Usually, empty coal cars travel west to get loaded, and return east loaded. These factors made it a very strange train!
