Retired Rail Railcars. New York City Transit Authority (NYCTA) R123 no. DCR01 (née R21 no. 7055; St. Louis Car Co., 1956-1957) is seen with a string of seven other R123 continuously-welded rail cars at the 65th St Yard in South Brooklyn. The 8-car semi-permanently coupled consist was one of four used by the Transit Authority to transport 300' sections of CWR through the subway. It and the consist visible in the background were moved off the property to be scrapped, as they have been replaced by consists of specialized R157 flat cars for CWR handling.
