| This was a winter! This winter on Donner was indeed challenging and epic. Not only for railroaders but also railfans. Access on Donner in the winter is always tough, especially parking. With a small slide at Shed 47, the snow was piling up. With I80 closed we made the decision to hike back into Andover. In this shot UP 566 is pushing quite a bit of snow in, one of my very few photos of Donner in the snow and sunlight. |
