Remarks & Notes
Sheesh: It is of course an 0-6-0 not an 0-4-0. Thank you to Dana M for pointing out my error. Corrections and additions are always welcome OKLAHOMA CITY June 13 2023. This 50-ton side-tank style steam locomotive was built by the H. K. Porter Company in September 1942. The original owner was the U. S. Army Corps Of Engineers and it was numbered 5006. The locomotive was sold to Oklahoma Gas & Electric. OG&E used it at the Horseshoe Lake power plant in Harrah, OK. It was used for switching coal cars. It was later acquired by the Oklahoma Railway Museum. The side tanks have been removed and it is missing a number of components. It is currently on display. My apologies for screwing up the whistle and bell when I used a bead blaster to remove paint. I truly regret this ill-advised action. My photo.
