| Schuylkill River From Up Top. The Lehigh Valley Chapter of the NRHS operated a charter over the Reading Blue Mountain and Northern Railroad on 4/22/2017. The wye at Mill Creek Junction joins the former Reading Railroad routes from Tamaqua (currently Middleport) and Reading in Port Carbon, Pennsylvania. The view looking down from the Route 209 overpass on the Schuylkill River shows Budd Company Rail Diesel Cars (RDCs) 9168 (ex-New York Central Railroad) and 9166 (ex-Reading and Boston and Maine) heading to the Yuengling Brewery in Pottsville, PA. |
