The Photo Re-Stop. On Saturday, April 15, 2023, the Railroad Historians of the Lehigh Valley and the Lehigh Valley Chapter, National Railway Historical Society sponsored a “rare mileage” excursion on the Reading and Northern Railroad - Passenger Railroad. A 3-car train of RDCs covered a number of areas not normally visited by the railroad's passenger excursions, most of which have not seen regular passenger services in decades. The original photo stop at this location apparently did not include this shot, but trip organizers and the crew agreed to second "run-by" to accommodate the request. The train is seen passing under the Weigand Blvd/ US Route 209 bridge Pottsville, Pennsylvania while crossing the Schuylkill River.
