Wye Ask Why. Saturday, February 25, 2023 when Webb Rail's former Union Pacific Railroad Budd built Pullman 10-6 "Pacific Union" (WEBX 800640) and former New York Central Railroad Budd built Pullman obs/diner "Babbling Brook" (WEBX 800007) were holding the markers on Amtrak Train 54 (Vermonter) when it was seen on the wye in St. Albans, Vermont, seen here passing Aldis Street and through the day's snowfall. The bright track lights of the "Babbling Brook" were particularly useful during this move that the crew undoubtedly found more comfortable than the usual position of standing in the vestibule of an AmFleeet I. A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
