B Division World's Fair.. Metropolitan Transportation Authority - MTA NYCT Subway R-10 Car 3189 (ACF, 1948) was part of the first order of modern cars for the New York City Subway post-unification. The cars featured dynamic braking and a four motor design that helped with improved propulsion. This car was selected to have three-passenger transverse fiberglass interior seating installed in 1969. It survived as a school car in Pitkin Yard and was not part of the in-house rebuild program. Previously on display at the New York Transit Museum in Brooklyn, New York in 2007 when it wore an unusual light blue paint scheme, it made its restoration debut at the "Parade Of Trains" event in September, 2022 in the B Division (BMT/IND) version of the 1964 World's Fair paint scheme.
