Heading out on the Mill City Branch. Santa Maria Valley Locomotive #205 is hauling a short, local freight, as she steps out onto the lengthy South Santiam River Trestle in Lebanon, OR. This trestle features the timber section seen here spanning an RV park, and a more robust-looking steel structure just ahead, which spans the river. The train is heading out to the north and east on the Mill City Branch of the Albany & Eastern Railroad on a 2022 photo charter, organized by Lerro Photography. The 205 recently entered service on the AERC, doing weekend passenger excursions on the railroad, which also has an extensive freight business.
