Remarks & Notes
The Conway Scenic Railroad Mountaineer is seen pulling into the small station stop at Attitash to drop off several passengers on the return trip from Crawford Notch. Locomotive 573 is a veteran of Conway Scenic and was built for Maine Central in 1950. The second unit, Boston & Maine F7A 4268 was recently restored at the Conway shops and is powered by a prime mover that was transplanted from a former New Hampshire Northcoast GP9. The locomotive, along with sister 4266 is owned by the 470 Railroad Club.
