A north bound UP intermodal slowly navigates across the dry, barren landscape of the Caliente valley, as the train rounds the horseshoe curve and is set to twist it’s way down the remainder of the grade, through the Caliente Canyon, and then to the San Joaquin valley beyond the hills off in the distance.
