Scheduled Branch Maintenance: NJT 430 awaits departure with motive power NJT 4201 (former GP40 for Conrail as CR 3053, prior to that Penn Central PC 3053, and originally NYC 3053 for New York Central). During the summer of 2022, the Gladstone Branch faces mid-day outages during weekdays for maintenance work. On this day, a diesel set is sent down the branch from Hoboken on westbound NJT 409 in the morning before the daily outage takes effect for a long layover in Gladstone before returning on NJT 430 after the line returns back to being in-service.
