It is amazing how much things change at the railroad. I have been coming to the Aurora Sub since the early 90'swhen I was in my teens. Those days BN/CN/CCP trains rolls thru and an operator at East Cabin highballed them all. Now days its only BNSF/CN trains and no operator. One of the odd things I seen last year was this Becker, MN, to Hickman, AR, scrap train. 74 cars ex-CN old beatup coal cars bound for the Nucor Cold Steel Plant in Arkansas. Glad I had the drone to peak inside of the cars as they went by. Clearly not a big contract as only 24 trains thru the 1st 10 months of 2021, but still interesting. Something never seen back in the 90's.
