We Are Marshall, And Moving To The Bluegrass State. Former Louisville & Nashville GE C30-7 was donated to the local NRHS Chapter in 2017 by CSX. After serving for L&N, Family Lines, and CSX, it was been painted in these colors by the CSX Huntington Shops to honor the local Marshall University. It was announced on May 21, 2021 that this unit was donated to the Kentucky Steam Heritage Corp., joining the collection of steam and diesel engines at the restoration shops. While the headline attraction at the Irvine, KY is former Chesapeake & Ohio 2-8-4 2716, the roster is growing to include the preservation of examples of area railroads. The engine is pictured on May 3, 2019 at the Collis P. Huntington NRHS storage area in Huntington, West Virginia.
This unit is a presently a slug and is planned for static display (ex-CSX 7067, exx-CSX 1837, exxx-SBD 7067, née-LN 7067 (C30-7).
