What is lost in aesthetics is gained in interest as the March 1, PAS 11R-01 detour train rolls past the Bartonsville, VT covered bridge with a quintet of PAS/MEC B40-8s and the first double stack car to roll over the VRS. With the VRS VP (engineer) and Asst. Supt. MOW (conductor) operating the train, MEC 5976, 5936, 5963, 5943, and 5930, lead a 5-well set of Maersk-turned garbage-hauling containers westbound on the GMRC Bellows Falls Subdivision, the first stacks ever to move the route.
