Remarks & Notes 
A cogwheel train exits a short tunnel seconds before reaching the endpoint of the line at 1720m or 5643ft above sea level, just below the summit of the Wendelstein (1838m or 6030ft). The church seen here dates from 1890. It is also a bit below the summit, but it is still the church at the highest elevation in Germany.
