| "Highball the 1995." On a clear spring afternoon, Union Pacific 1995 (the Chicago & Northwestern heritage unit) rockets westbound out of Truckee while Amtrak's California Zephyr pulls in for a station stop. Truckee is an awesome place for both novice and experienced railroad photographers. With easy access to downtown and beautiful mountain backdrops in every direction, any photographer can stay busy watching the usual train traffic head on and off the hill.
