An eastbound approaches the automatic signals at PT 218 near Birmingham, PA along the Little Juniata Narrows of the "Broadway of Steel" east out of Altoona. These signals, like those east of Huntingdon will soon face elimination before the month is out. These sentinels like its brothers in arms have guided trains for almost a century.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
