On August 6, 2016, eastbound VIA Rail train No. 2, the Casnadian, cruises around Robertson’s Curve with 23 cars. Even with the peaks of the Brule Range in Alberta’s Jasper National Park shrouded in low clouds, the view at Swan Landing on Canadian National’s Edson Subdivision is still arresting.
Motive Power Industries and GMD of Canada have rebuilt the EMD F40PH. These rebuild F40s are slowly fading, but some can be seen in California and Canada.
