Reflecting on 2018. Some of the unusual occurrences that became more common this year was the appearance of both P42s and double ended trains on the Amtrak Hudson Line. Here we get both as Amtrak’s own “bar code” unit, P42DC 111, leads train 238 southbound on Saturday, October 28, 2018. The double-ending is to accommodate work in the East River Tunnels.
