Rare view of a Chinese locomotive on French rails! In August 1986, intensive test runs have been performed with the prototype locomotive of the Chinese 8K class between the cities of Mulhouse and Belfort. The 8K is a French-built electric locomotive used in China. It has been developed and built by Alstom. The design of the 8K class is based on the SNCF Class BB 15000 electric locomotives. It is a kind of locomotives with Bo′Bo′+Bo′Bo′ wheel arrangement.
