After coming around the curve at Clifton Hills, the SR 4501 lead a 10 car train down the NS Controlled Central Of Georgia CR&S right of way heading for Summerville, GA. 4501 participating in a series of excursion south into northwest Georgia on it's own, throughout the 2018 year, and today is no different except the 117 year old 2-8-2 is pulling the last scheduled Autumn Leaf Special. on it's own, and what a way of pulling this train on a very brisk Saturday morning at the peak of Autumn in the southeast states. The popular seemly popular excursion is only 4 miles north til the train crosses the TN/GA Stateline where it will leave Norfolk Southern's trackage, and enter the Genesee & Wyoming-Chattooga & Chickamuaga trackage for the rest of the the first half of the trip. The following day the Mikado will be part with stable mate SR 630 as both Southern Steam handle the train one last time marking a end of a successful 2018 Summerville excursion year.
