Polson Logging Company's 2-8-2 lets off a little steam as it leads a double headed freight train around the bend of the Oregon coast shore line, passing a well known off-shore rock formation named "Three Graces". McCloud River Railroad's 2-6-2 is the locomotive tucked behind in this scene captured at sunset at Garibaldi, OR on the former Southern Pacific line of the the Oregon Coast Scenic Railroad. Taken during a Lerro Productions charter.
Landscape photography is difficult due to the challenge of combining good light and good scenery. Good railroad photography enters another level of complexity since it requires the first two while there is a train in view.
