Remarks & Notes
Gray Equipment on a Gray Day

The Anthracite Railway, like its parent Octoraro Railway, used mostly patched or unpatched used equipment on its operations of the former Reading P&C branch between Pottstown and Boyertown, as well as the former Reading Perkiomen Branch between Emmaus Junction and Pennsburg, Pennsylvania. The road did paint a GE 44-tonner and a caboose in an uninspired scheme. Apparently there was a sale on industrial ANSI 61 gray paint.
