| One of the enjoyable things about Ukraine is the relative sense of unknown among the railfan world... The scale of this bridge shocked me when I travelled over it and thanks to the wonders of mobile mapping and a friendly taxi driver who spoke two or three words of English, I was able to quickly make my way to this spot an hour later to photograph my train returning (there's only 3 trains a day in daylight hours!).
If this was in Germany or Czech Republic it'd be quite rightly en-grained within our favourite locations and I'd have pre-planned a better angle. But it wouldn't have been half as fun...! |
