Remarks & Notes

70-year old F3A No. 663 is posed on the Pocono Mountain grade, just west of Elmhurst. This locomotive was originally built for the Bangor & Aroostook RR in May, 1948 as their No. 44 and is on loan to Steamtown National Historic Site by its owner, the Tri-State Railway Historical Society. The day's occasion was a photo special for the Anthracite Railroads Historical Society.
