| Built in 1895 one of the worlds steepest passenger railways, Lookout Mountain Incline Railway highest grade point is 72.7%. The amazing ride to the top takes 10 minutes. It operates on standard gauge track and is a distance of one mile. There is several observation windows in the train for viewing the scenery from any seat. Here's a view from the front at the very top looking down the mountain. This picture doesn't give justice as to how steep it really is. |
