When the RhB is short on locomotives, the vintage Ge 4/4 I were used even in the express train service. The Ge 4/4 I # 602 "Bernina" was built in 1947 by SLM, BBC and MFO in green color, front door and chromium lettering. Between 1986 and 2001 the 10 locomotives (# 601 to # 610) were modernised with new cabs. The # 602 was withdrawn in 2012 and exhibited in the Swiss Museum of Transport in Lucerne, planned then for 5 years. But in november 2015 it returned to Grisons and is in service again since july 2016. The iconic vehicle is pulling the Regio Express 1334 from St.Moritz via Vereina to Landquart, near Klosters Dorf.
