Montana Rail Link’s Helena switch is eastbound at Winston , Montana, on the morning of July 3, 2018. With the abolishment of the Helena local, industries from Helena to Logan are now switched by Laurel-Missoula and Missoula-Laurel MRL manifest trains. That is, except the cement plant and RY Timber in Townsend. This work has been passed off to the Helena switch, fortunately allowing views of ageless GP9 No. 109 leading a train over Winston Hill.
