Remarks & Notes
This hard-working machine, MBTA 3626, was a side-dump trolley work car used to haul ballast and dirt for track maintenance. It had an incredibly long service life. It was built by the Differential Car Company for the Boston Elevated Railway in 1925 and didn't leave Boston until 2007, when it was acquired by the Seashore Trolley Museum. It posed at the Lechmere yard in East Cambridge in 1969. It did later get a fresh coat of paint!

The MBTA is very dear to me. The first trains I ever rode as a toddle to teenager were those of the "T" Here is a collection of MBTA Subway and trolley I have found on RP from the 60's thru today.

Pictures of things often unseen in the world of railroading. Interesting equipment, operations, and people that help the railroad go around.
