Remarks & Notes
The faint trace of a New York Central cigar band logo on the nose of otherwise unlettered Conrail E8 4324 marks it as one of the ex-NYC E-units that were renumbered and equipped with PRR-style cab signals by PC for commuter service on the New York & Long Branch. Paired with an E7, it headed up a New York-Bay Head train near Red Bank, NJ.
