Refer Photo ID: 657888, this is the rest of the magnificent original pre-war clerestory roofed version of the Blue Train. Lindsay was a passenger on the THE 3OTH ANNIVERSARY BLUE TRAIN SPECIAL (1969), a 100% steam hauled special from Johannesburg to Cape Town (and return), and what a fantastic view & scene he was presented with here! The kitchen car is seen having its water tanks filled at Touws River Station before the train continued on to Cape Town on the final leg of the forward journey. |
