The Blonay-Chamby Railroad Museum is 50 years old in 2018. For the celebration, 5 guest steamlocomotives were invited. Two powerfull one meter gauge "Mallet" steamlocomotives can be seen on the line from Blonay to Chamby near Chantemerle stop. G 2x2/2 # 105, built in 1918 by Maschinenfabrik Karlsruhe/Germany for the Heeresfeldbahn, ran later on the line Haspe-Voerde-Breckerfeld and from 1928 til 1967 on the Zell-Todtnau in the Black Forest near Basel. It was the very first steamlocomotive of the Blonay-Chamby Railroad Museum in 1968 and pulled the opening train. Beautifully restored in 1998 by the members of the Blonay-Chamby. Second locomotive is guest on the BC from association "La Traction" in the swiss Jura mountains. The G 2x2/2 E # 164 was built in 1905 by Henschel in Kassel/Germany for the "Minho e Douro" railway in Portugal. It came to La Traction in 1992, but was operational not until 2000.
