| The "last" EBT Freight. It's just after 4 PM on the last day of the 2011 EBT Fall Spectacular, and what may well have been the last freight train ever operated by the railroad is seen here running through farmland just off Enyart Road, roughly a mile north of Orbisonia. This last special train of the fall event would turn at Colgate Grove and then return to the yard around 5 PM. Aside from a few more weekends of holiday passenger operations during the last couple of months of 2011, the EBT was pretty much done as an operational railroad.....although we never knew it until the owners announced that they were ceasing operations early the following year. |
