Remarks & Notes
EBT narrow gauge hoppers at rust at the north end of the East Broad Top Mount Union Yard. The hopper cars have sat here, frozen in time, since the railroad closed back on April 13, 1956. Though the hopper cars remain the property of Joe Kovalchick, the Mount Union yard and visible (and rebuilt) dual gauge ROW are now owned by the East Broad Top Preservation Association. The relatively new grade crossing spanning US 522, visible in the background, is one of the few in the United States that is dual gauge.
