Remarks & Notes
Spring if finally sprung as the ice on the Connecticut River and and in Webb Pond has mostly receded and Vermont Rail System traffic is heavy. The head end of the Bellows Falls local, symbol DASW-09 (DA is the station code long-used for Bellows Falls), is heavy with salt that will start replenishing the shed in Ely, Vermont, as well as other traffic destined to both the Washington County RR affiliate and on to the Green Mountain Gateway. Vermont Railway GP40-2W #310 is pulling the heavy tonnage from the Green Mountain Railroad's Riverside Yard toward the interchange tracks for the New England Central Railroad and for Pan Am Railways.
