Remarks & Notes
New Hope & Ivyland's former Canadian National 4-6-0 No.1533 sits in the back lot preserved in rustproofing paint awaiting a return to service.

The locomotive was built by Montreal Locomotive Works in 1911 for the Canadian Northern Railway as their No. 264, but renumbered to 1325 in 1912. Canadian National got her in a 1923 merger, keeping her number until 1956 when renumbered to 1533. She arrived at New Hope in 1962 and ran sporadically until retired in 1975, with only a few days of service that year. The boiler was removed from its frame in February of 1976, as part of the rebuild of the loco for backup service but after further examination, it was revealed that the engine needed far more work and time required for that work than originally thought. Though retired, the Strasburg Rail Road crew did an inspection on her in 1991 and they determined the locomotive could be restored, if desired, for a not-unreasonable amount of resources.
