| 43002 in retro livery (actually the oldest HST power car) trails the 1A87 13:47 Plymouth - London Paddington as it meets the 1C80 11:33 London Paddington - Plymouth HST. The wind that day was bitterly cold with the sea being whipped up. Later in the week, the UK was hit by the Beast from the East with snow in most of the country. HSTs on GWR are gradually being replaced by the new Hitachi trains. |
