| EXX-3001/2/3 while staged in a yard in Maydon Wharf, Durban, awaiting the arrival of a ship to take them through to Brazzaville in the Congo. The three locomotives (EXX-3001 / EXX-3002 / EXX-3003) were built by RRL Grindrod South Africa for lease to the Exxaro Mining Group's iron ore operations in the Congo. These operations were put on hold during the first half of 2014, due to the company being unable to secure the usage of rail and port facilities. |
